God save us: No Ebola Vaccination in the Country!

1) The country had agreed to join other countries in hosting trials to test the safety and effects of two experimental vaccines against a virus that has killed more than 11,150 people in the region.

Question: Who Made this Authorization and How much did Mahama govt received from J&J to conduct this exercise?

2) Phase 1 safety tests for one vaccine, developed by US pharmaceutical giant Johnson and Johnson and Denmark's Bavarian Nordic in the southeastern Volta region, gave volunteers a mobile phone and nearly $5 each.

Question: $5 and a mobile phone for this exercise?. Is J&J serious. Are Africans and Ghanaians lives not worth it. J&J is based in New Jersey (NJ), U.S and even if the company decided to conduct experiment on people in NJ, will they give them $5 and a phone?. That is an insult!

These are the questions people should start asking their MP's, Ministry of Health, Mahama and his government

1. How much did the U.S Pharam company promise to give the govt or has already given to Ministry of Health
2. Who made the decisions that the trial should take place in Volta Region?
3. What precautions and safety measures have been put in place to prevent any outbreak if these trials go astray
4. How will the country benefit from these clinical trials? Are they going to provide the country with discounts on these medicines after the trials have been successfully.
5. Why is this vaccination exercise taking place, when there are no outbreaks of ebola in the Volta region.
6. How many people have already being vaccinated and who are they?

We are not guinea pigs to be experimented with. This is how the government has been operating for a long time. Every deals they do are shrouded in secrecy. There are no accountability, no transparency and no visibility in the whole value chain process.

Over and over again, our government continues to blind-side the people and use us like some dirty piece of towel and discard us.

Call your MP's, Ministry of Health, Mahama and tell them No to ebola vaccination. The only people who will benefit from these exercises are some few greedy people at the Ministry of Health and the govt officials at the expense of the health and safety of the people.

The people running the Ministry of Health, including Mahama government are very EVIL. Haven't we learned anything from Liberia, Sierra Leone, Gunieas and so many places where the effects of these experiments have killed more than 11,150 people in the region
