Suspected Ebola patients isolated at Nsawam Government hospital

Reports say three persons have been
isolated at the Nsawam Government
hospital in the Eastern Region for
supposedly showing signs of the
Ebola attack.
MultiTV’s Matilda Womegah, who
visited the hospital, said blood
samples of the patients have been
taken for medical testing at the
Noguchi Memorial Institute.
Among the patients is a 16-year-old
girl who went to the infirmary
Thursday with blood in her urine.
Matilda continued that a 56-year-old
man also came in from a nearby
village, Adawso, with blood in his
urine.
The third patient’s case, she said,
was a peculiar one because he had
blood in his urine and faeces and was
in a feverish condition.
He is a 53-year-old long distance
driver, who plies the Accra-Kumasi
route.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Health Service
is awaiting test results of a
Burkinabe, who was admitted at a
health facility in Bawku in the Upper
East Region.
Reports suggested he showed signs of the Ebola virus.
