Reliable information gathered
by Telusgh indicates
that ace Ghanaian Gospel
musician Barima Kusi
Brimpong popularly known as
Reverend Kusi Berko has
kicked the bucket. He died at
the Pramso Hospital few hours
after his arrival.
The musician well known for
hit songs such as Ofata/Nyame
Aguama, Edin Ben Ni , and
many others had been battling
with stroke for the past six
years.
Although family had kept his
ailing condition away from the
public eye and media,
organisers of the Ghana Gospel
Music Awards in 2012 donated
an amount of GHC 5000 to him
as he could no longer do
music.
In December 2013, the artist
who seemed a bit better took
to the podium of the Perez
Chapel and told his audience
that his faith in God had kept
him alive.
“I have a resilient faith in God.
For six good years, I was bed-
ridden as a result of stroke. I
could not walk but I told God
that I will not die but live to
testify his good works. Today,
here I am, proclaiming the
work of God,”
Relatives and close family
would however not speak on
the death.
Tributes have started pouring
in for the musician who served
as a role model to many.
