Where is the spirit of patriotism?

It is rather disgraceful, how the quest for riches and honor among other things have swallowed our national pride and sense of patriotism. What do we see now? Our able youth, traveling to other countries with the excuse of lack of employment in mother Ghana. Some even go as far as to the extent of denouncing their citizenship.
The question i keep asking is, If everyone should fly outside with the same excuse, who will build our nation? Who will create the job opportunities? Is this the legacy laid by our predecessors? What of those who fought for independence for absolutely no pay?
Are we better than they were?
I really do not understand what our nation is turning into. Patriotism has become a thing of the past. Corruption and selfishness has become a major threat to our development. Yet we cry everyday about our under development.
Does Ghana have a future with all these selfishness?
We are the cause of our own problems, yet we complain bitterly about  this and that! I ask, what is government? Are we all not part of government? So why all these clueless noise about government?
Once again, i will refer to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and his colleagues. Even if we have not seen it, we have heard from one source or the other, how they fought for their nation. Did they do this because they were foolish? Did they do this because they were insane? I know you will definitely say No!
So where is the love for one's nation? Where is the spirit of patriotism? Where are all these virtues?
It really pains my heart that we do not think of doing things to help our nation anymore.
All we know now is money, money, money.
Read the papers, you will see corruption. Turn on the TV and you will surely see it there.
Where are we heading to as a country?
I think its high time we revived selflessness. Its time we brought back all elements of patriotism into our lives.
We need to inculcate the spirit of oneness.
Let's come together as one to build a strong nation. Let us put away the differences.
These are the only ways to fight our current economic hardships.
