The marine police has asked
government to provide them with
more and larger craft to widen their
search abilities. Yesterday’s search
around the estuary proved futile.
In a meeting with journalist
yesterday, the Ada East District Chief
Executive (DCE), Mr John Nurudeen
Ahortu, said Castro could survive in
the water for three days with a life
jacket. He added that, this is the first
time such a mishap had occurred to
someone on a Jet Ski.
The situation at the family house in
Takoradi is a one of hope and
despair. Friends and family who
gathered at the family house upon
hearing the sad news are also
without any real information. Castro’s
dad, Mr. John Eshun hasn’t been able
to hold back tears. He will not give
up hope until his son’s body is
found. He added that, he will join
wife in Accra in the hope of hearing
anything positive. Photos can be
found in the Daily Graphic of Today.
