Castro is not dead!

Two days after frantic efforts made by
a team of rescuers to bring hip-life
musician Theophilous Tagoe, known
in the showbiz industry as Castro,
back to earth – dead or alive – had
proved futile, a self-proclaimed
spiritualist, Mallam Djeta, from
Nsawam in the Eastern Region, has
claimed the musician is not dead.
According to him, the hip-life artiste
had been carried away by a marine
spirit into the estuary of the Volta
River at Azizanya, Ada, in the Greater
Accra Region.
Mallam Djeta asserted that the marine
spirit, popularly known as ‘Maame
Water,’ had fallen in love with Castro
and wanted him to father her three
children “because the spirit enjoys
Castro’s songs and loves him.”
He asked Ghanaians to stop grieving,
as “Castro is not dead yet and that
the more we grieve, the more likely he
will not return from his stopover at
the marine lands.”
He made these assertions in an
interview with DAILY GUIDE at Ada-
Foah when he travelled from his base
at Nsawam to Ada-Foah upon hearing
the news about the missing musician.
He said Castro might return in three
years’ time – “after having children
with the marine spirit and
entertaining the spirit with his
music.”
The spiritualist cautioned that some
people might incur the wrath of the
marine spirit when they continue
grieving, specially his relatives in
Takoradi.
According to him, for Castro to return
anytime soon, the spirit must be
consulted and given what specifically
she wants, listing two bottles of
Schnapps, white goat, white and red
calico, among other things.
He took a small mirror out of his
pocket and started making more
revelations to the effect that the spirit
had wanted to take Castro and
Asamoah Gyan, but because Gyan’s
spirit was strong it was unable to
include him. However, he warned that
he (Gyan) must be prayerful.
He said Castro was close to a
platoon which had been abandoned
near the bank of a river in sand,
wearing black dress. Mallam Djeta
posited that the musician would be
relocated to a different place if the
marine spirit was not consulted and
given what she was demanding
immediately.
Castro and his purported girlfriend,
Janet Bandu, were allegedly jet skiing
on the Volta Lake on Sunday when
Bandu was reported to have fallen
into the water. In an attempt to save her, Castro also got drowned.
