2014 rankings of Ghana’s Most Valuable brands out!

Brand researchers, Premier Brands,
have released their latest rankings of
the country’s most valuable and most
respected brands.
The rankings, which place Ghana’s
brands on the world map of branding,
is the result of months of intense
research conducted by Premier
Brands Ghana, an independent
organisation dedicated to ensuring
that businesses adopt the best
practices in branding for business
growth.
In the last quarter of this year
Premier Brands Ghana will honour the
top 50 most valuable business brands
in Ghana for their extraordinary
performances in brand positioning in
competition.
Over 1,500 brands vied for the
prestigious honour of being amongst
the Top 50 recognisable and
respected brands in the country.
Premier Brands said the data was
collected primarily from consumers in
Ghana who helped to arrive at a
credible conclusion as to which
brand deserves what position on the
Top 50 most valuable business
brands for 2014.
Toyota Ghana occupies the Number
One position, followed by Melcom
Group, the state-owned Daily
Graphic, Tv3, Golden Tulip Hotel,
Vodafone, DSTV, Peace FM, Total
Petroleum, and Mercedes Benz in that
order in the Top Ten.
Joy FM which won the “Brand of the
Year Award” in 2012 has been ranked
12th in the Top 50.
Two insurance companies, Glico and
Enterprise Groups made it to the Top
50, taking the 45th and 50th positions
respectively.
Other brands whose performances in
brand positioning are showing great
improvement and which are becoming
significantly relevant on the market
where they operate will also receive
the prestigious and enviable “Top
Emerging Brands Award”.
Notable amongst these Top Emerging
Brands which are to be honoured
include; Global Access Savings &
Loans, TECNO Mobile, AFB Ghana,
Anointed Electricals & Engineering
Services, The Royal Bank and many
more.
Also to receive sector leadership
awards as Premier Brands include
Ostec IT, Wire Weaving Industries,
ETC.
The exact date for the awards dinner
in October will be announced later.
